Hmm, urs is a unique case, but as far as i can tell u need to have FP done, that is the process, your lawyers may be able to help, have u contacted them?
Paper filing is fine and its not slow, usually paper filers dont get FP notices.
I did contact my lawyer. They have put in a SR but that's not helping. I was hoping the EAD renewal will kick it but looks like paper based doesn't kick it..
Argh!! This waiting game seems helpless..

I will have to check with my attorney. But, my I-140 approval came from TSC but my I-485 application was sent to NSC.
If anyone else has had a similar experience, please post your update here.

My friend got his receipt numbers from TSC yesterday. We filed on the same day, same attorney, Attorney said his will go to TSC and mine will go to NSC. His receipt numbers start with SRC... if it is NSC it will be LIN.

I belongs to TSC category but my lawyer sent my application to Nebraska.When I check the status online, says "case received in TSC"!! but Only the AP and EAD Checks are cashed. The I485 & FP checks are not yet cashed. Do any one come across like this?.

This is what I don't understand. Priority dates are set so only applications before that date can be approved. Processing dates are not set in that sense of the term.
All uscis does every month when they publish processing dates is look at the Receipt date of the application still pending at the time and publishes that info. So in that sense, "not moving the processing date" does not make sense. Unless you mean they deliberately reduce the number of hours they work so fewer applications are processed.
USCIS deliberately can do many things and is doing. It can transfer files from one center to ther and inroduce the delay. During July 2007 fiassco, many members of IV experienced that files were flying between nebraska and california centers without apparent reason. If you have followed processing dates in past you would surely have obeserved dates not moving at all for months. Does that mean nobody was working at USCIS at that time? No.. What it means - " We have heavy work load and we want to go in particular direction and so we are delaying" - in terms of USCIS. In our interpretation - USCIS does not work and want us to rot forever.

Living off the wealth others have created?? What are you talking about? Also, this issue is not just about programmers. It is about doctors, scientists, engineers and several other qualified professionals. Do some fact-checking rather than being a nitwit. Go take a walk.
Why don't posters on this forum move back to their home country and concentrate on making their home country great instead of slamming into someone else's country and just living off the wealth others have created?
The bottom line is that a SKIL act is not needed. I have changed employers on an H1B transfer. My previous employer had filed an I-485, I went through FP as well and it has been 180 days from the filing date. My new employer's lawyer had advised them that AC-21 need not be filed until visa numbers become current. Is that correct? What if I go to a consulate for H1B visa stamping and they ask me whether AC21 has been filed for the empployment visa? Please advise, I am quite confused.

And last but not the least , Relax . Staying here is not the end of the world .We came here we tried very hard , if God forbid we fail . I personally do not mind one bit to go back to my motherland . Remember if US is teh present then India is the Past and India will be the future . Thats where all the action is now and will be in the future .

I do not think IV is standing alone on this issue. I think that IV is making alliances based on our membership size, funding and reach capabilities. Many times when such alliances may be formed, the other side may not want to be identified in the media. This is particularly true in the current political climate where each side is out to villify the other. I believe that as individuals we should keep creating more awareness among fellow retrogression sufferers and GC applicants alike. I find it amazing that there are so many applicants out there who have not heard about IV. I keep meeting people who suffer from so many retrogression issues and then again they are doing nothing to fight it.

I called them and reached an IO officer and told her that I see my checks are cashed and there is a receipt number behind the check but its illegible and can she confirm the numbers for me. She asked for DOB, address, full name etc. and then gave me the receipt numbers for EAD, AP and AOS.
But if your checks are cashed then the receipt notice must be in the mail.:)

My application was sent on Aug 7th reached USCIS (NSC)on Aug 8th. Recieved my reciept # on Sep 24 from lawyer. But my wife hasn't recieved the RN. Was wondering if any one are in the same boat.

I just feel so sorry about your understanding of the modern economics. If you think , by asking foreign born workers to go back you can get more access to the so called "wealth" you are talking about , its time you enroll for an Economics 101 . It is your proud America that has long been shouting from the rooftops about the need to have more open borders, facilitate global transfer of knowledge and commodities . Anyway , I dont think I have to even argue with you as you need lots of orientation before I get into a meaningful debate with you . We have been waiting for more than 100 days. We applied exactly 120 days before our current EAD was going to expire. When I called USCIS (after 90 days) , Customer Service told that that don�t have our finger prints in file. I never got any notice and my lawyer said they don�t need finger prints for paper filed application and they should use I485 finger prints. So I took the infopass appointment. IO was nice and he was willing to listen. He said the same thing (missing finger prints). I showed him the fingerprint receipts from last year and also showed the USCIS memo talking about interim EAD. He said no to interim EAD. But called Texas Service Center right then. Person on the other end offered to call back in 5 minutes and he did. IO came back and told us that there was some thing wrong at their end and they will port my finger print information from 485 to EAD application. But he said it would take 10 � 15 business days more. Our current EAD were expiring soon and I called congresswoman�s office next day. Got the approval email yesterday evening. Don�t know what worked. But what a huge relief.
