Dear Friends,
My GC was approved on Aug.19, 2008 and received my Physical card on Aug. 22, 2008 :):). I am wondering what to do with the I 94 , which I received after my last re-entry to USA in 2006 using AP. Any info.

I had to travel back home so I called customer service to find out if I could get FP notice earlier so that I could do FP before departure.
Called Customer serivce on November 20th 2007, he generated a SR for me and then there was scilence for next 30 days.
after 30 days exactly on Dec 20th I got a letter saying
"On 11/20/2007 you, or the designated repersentative shown below, contacted us about your case. some of the key information given to us at that time was the following.
..........all the information here for my case/s.............
the status of this service request is:
USCIS service center records show that your finger print results have expired or a clearence has never been received. Fingerprints must be taken at the application support center (ASC) in your area. A notice will be mailed to you indicating a specific time, place and date to appear for biometrics processing at an application support center. All supporting documentation/evidence must be submitted at the time of the ASC appointment."
ever since am waiting for that magical biometrics letter.

Sign the agreement get the GC and use the same agreement to sue the employer ....

Thanks for the reply, Do you mean proceed with corp-to-corp between current Y(employer) and Prior-employer X(by paying h1b tranfer fee). Sign the Agreement with Employer X to continue GC and then sue them ? ?hmmm... interesting.
Before accepting an Employement with company X, if there would have been an agreement stating they will sponsor my green card (atleast the paperwork), that would have helped me.. hard luck..

I called and talked to a level 2 officer and she could not find us in the system.
Filed on July 19th. 140 approved from NSC in June 2006. NSC is receipting August 2nd applications. Very frustrationg and I dont know how long it will take.

My situation is not any better. I am working for a GA based company since 2001 got stuck in the backlog center with Priority Date Oct 2003 (labor apporved in Nov 2006 I-140 applied in May). After calling the company HR for 30-40 times in last one week I was able to talk to HR guy, he said the ceo will allow only those who have approved I-140 to apply for I-485. He also said then once priority date retogressed again I will be able to get 3 years H1B ext. that will be good for me.:mad: I think these desi blood sucking compnies will be obsolete in couple of years. If USCIS make the rules better.
I was thinking of disclosing my employers name but then I will never be able to file I-485

My wife got a soft LUD on 8/21. She has PD of Dec 2005 EB2 (I). I wa shappy to see some activity but then i saw the following thread (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/forum5-all-other-green-card-issues/1599851-ead-renewal-but-i-485-update.html#post1981520) . It looks like some got the soft LUD on their 485 but their EAD was in process and same is the case wiht my wife. She applied for EAD renewal last month.

Instead of working on recapture..we must work on filing for 485 even if PD's are not current.. this way.. atleast in this recession ppl can be assured of some piece of mind.
