I will request you 'Not to turn this into a EB-3/Eb-2' fight, as everybody is suffering, we are on this forum itself means all of have an issue...It's just that for some people it could be a wait for another 3-4 years but for others it could be a wait for 20 years....if Congress doesn't make any change to the existing laws...But what people are fearing in this climate if we go and tell the congress that we are in a 20 year wait, instead of doing any good they can harm us more. Now, how much you want to take that risk is the question. In my opinion I don't see that kind of risk, with the kind of things we are asking, but some people see that risk, it's their way of thinking...
Lets not listen to negative people here and instead come up with a plan. Nothing will change unless we act upon it. I have seen these negative comments every time somebody come up with a plan for EB3-I. Unfortunately most of these negative comments are coming from EB2-I people.
Lets come up with action plan for EB3-I and we will send it upto Mr. President. I am sure they will listen to us someday. They are busy not deaf.

- give a little back ground as to why we are starting this effort

Does anybody know how long one can stay out of Canada after landing? I heard some where its 2 years and some say its 3 years from the date you land.
And that time does not have to be continous. You can do cycle of 6 months in Canada 1 year outside outside and it will still count to 2 years by end of 5 years, or you can do just last 2 years of those 5 years.

I mailed mine on May 25 and up to now I haven't gotten anything yet. My lawyer mailed it to NSC and since my I-140 is pending with the TSC, my lawyer said they will just forward it there. It's taking too long. Anybody in the same boat as I am?

Thanks for your advice. The intent of the letter is to show a different perspective to Senator Sessions. Nothing more or nothig less. He said he did not receive any feedback from legal immigrants. Fine, we say here it comes. If he continues to block legal immigration reform bills, he has to find another pretext, not "no feedback from immigrants".
There is always a rational side in every human being. Senator Sessions is smart. Let us hope Senator Sessions surprises us by bringing his own version of EB immigration reform.

I am starting this new thread to discuss about EB visas spillover usage based on oldest priority date irrespective of category/country. Currently the spillover happens vertically(a top down approach) from EB1 -> EB2 -> EB3...etc. Instead it should be first used on cases with oldest priority date. This will not only give a good move to clear the backlog but will also be a fair rule for those who are patiently waiting in queue for a long time. I wrote my concern about this to my local congressman. I also request each one of you, who is impacted by this, or who is interested to help us out, to kindly contact your local congressman/woman to express your concern. In turn they can contact USCIS to implement this fair rule to help us all out.

I did not get an approval for the 485 so was thinking what the process was here. Am I not supposed to be getting an approval notice in the email before the "Card Ordered" message came through ? I hope everything is over now, it was a long 51/2 years wait and just when you loose hope in the whole process this message turns up in my Inbox. I love this site and will continue to support it in whatever manner I can

We Indians deserve to be waiting forever without Greencard.

I only took Bank Statements. In my case they did not even ask to see those.
Actually in the landing paper there is a place where teh officer needs to sign of funds as well.
some places officers dont ask for it and in other places like rainbow bridge they do ask for it. However it is justa small formality...i just tooka printout of the online statement and that was fine with them.

when american's from such third rate schools are not getting jobs, do you seriously think foreigners with their funny accents and relatively poor English communication skills (I'm Indian and can tell you its still a second language to me) can get jobs??
The market has a way of regulating itself. As someone mentioned above, there were a a lot of H1 space available from 2001-03. But it never got filled because there were simply not enough jobs. Lets not try to set up govenment intervention here....let the free market decide....that is what made this country great.
btw, NumbersuSA, FAIR and other restrictionist organizations have zero credibility because they oppose even legal immigration.
