Just curious
EB2-India with May 2005 PD and before : All will be out before May 2010 with some residuals in NC. One thing I am sure, EB2/3-India with PD 2006 and afterwards should not start working on EAD and will have to hold on to H1.
PDs with 2006 and onwards - both for EB2/3 - Unpredictable and scary assuming no change in current immigration policies.

We have received our cards without getting CPO email. I got email for welcome notice sent on 08/05 and then approval notice sent on 08/08..got cards on 08/11..hope this helps...
My question is - has anobdy got their cards without getting the CPO e-mail - I have recd the approval notice on 11th in the mail - but I have yet to get the cards also I did not get the CPO e-mail:confused:

All,
Let us focus on CIR and its aftermath. I understand everyone is frustrated because of the standstill on legal high skilled immigration reform. However, that does not excuse speculation on America's demographics 10 years from now, and gross pejorative generalizations about ethnic groups and nationalities. As Mpkmaster pointed out, no culture is free from deficiencies. I have never been to Mexico but I am sure corruption there can't be worse than corruption in India.
Mpkmaster, there is a specific method to report offensive posts. Please follow it the next time round, as there is no guarantee that grossly offensive posts will be read by the moderators. Thanks for speaking up.
And in response to Jaime, please do not let a few bad posts detract from the rest of the forums. There is a reason that people are frustrated. There is no progress on CIR and our cause is really a political football. We are not powerful enough or large enough in numbers yet for politicians to sit up and take notice of us.

The moment (not the day) your interests will get done you will leave hands in this coalition...... Or are you just trying to exploit/leverage someone's 'English writing Skill' or may be use the "IV platform" to use it in own advantage ??
Look - i've nothing personal with you or against you but i do NOT want to join hands with someone who harbors/nurtures "Divisive Thoughts" in small technical matters like EB2 and EB3 ...

Guys please send the flowers...I know we dont have very good publicity like others...we need to find the way to get the media atten. One reporter might be intrested in our news not evry one, to get evey body atten we need to do it in samrt and in different way..guys bunch of people are thinking the flower day is good, other think it is not, we have this problem from ages.
If one send flowers or e-mail it is not news..if every body joins it is gonna be a greate news.

The problem will come, if you have an RFE for employment. If you get a letter from client, they will say that the company has employed, say for example Mr John as a Programmer Analyst for a period of 1 year. This will open up one major issue, that is you do not work for a company. The H1 and 485 is an application that is sponsored by a company, there is no clause for self sponsor. So when they see u are self sponsored, they could reject your 485.

my lawyer just faxed me my I-485 receipt.
Center: NSC
RD: 26th July (sent on 25th July)
ND: 22nd Aug
140 was approved at NSC. No LUDs on my approved I-140 or H1s.
Attorney sent his checks, so don't know whether those checks are cleared or not.
Even though I applied 485, AP, EAD for me and for my wife in the same package, we
received receipt for only my I-495. Hey, I'm not complaining. Just passing this info to you guys.

There were a couple of approvals today from TSC by looking at the other site.But slowed down a lot. Maybe USCIS is taking a break this last week and preparing for the next month:)

There is no FIFO in current system. There NEVER WILL BE as long as so-called Chargeability areas ( country quotas) exist. Mark my words, we may at best get the quota extended to 10% (if STRIVE or something similar passes), but the quotas are here to stay. Guy from a so-called ROW country will always get his GC ahead of you.
Have you read about 'Alternate Charegeability'? Read about it in Mathew Oh's website. It means a guy/gal from India can marry a Sri Lankan or Pakistani and use his/her country as chargeability! A person is getting ahead of others by marrying outside your country! What's your brilliant idea to stop that. I can already see some guys posting 'IV should make banning marriage outside the chargeability their Top #1 agenda, as people use it to cut the line'
What you guys really mean by FIFO here is ' a guy/gal from my country who applied after me, who cannot use alternate chargeability or marry an American citizen to cut the line, should not get GC before me'! ( FBI name check , EB1/2/3 etc. be damned)

India/China has huge population and therefore the number of applications far exceed ROW. Now who is to blame? Our parents? Our nation? Our politicians?

Guys even H1B increases are not that bad. A lot of our spouses could get jobs on h1b if it was open just now. Ultimately isint that what we want? Both husband and wife working?
I know that it could have a possible effect on the EB but I think a LOT of our spouses could work if the H1B quota was available. I know atleast 2-3 such friends whose wives can easily get jobs if the H1B was open.
Provided you bypass those apps that consulting companies line up at the start of the year. This is what Microsoft/Intel etc are trying to counter. They are not getting enough of the H1Bs themselves.
