This is no big deal. This has nothing to do with H1B's - its about CIR and minimum wage. Remember that Sen Kennedy is 100% behind the SJC and the Hagel-Martinez bills. Here's the email with additional details - I didn't post this before because it is somewhat partisan and attacks republicans.

You are very correct. For them immigration issue means, family based greencard system. They will be happy if EB greencard is eliminated so that all greencards are given to their families.
My friend contacted such organization and they said that they will help us by putting our issue on their website. For that I should ask IV to contribute to their cause. They refused to contribute anything or do anything for IV. They said that by putting IV's name on their site, they are doing us a favor by enhancing our profile and that is a big help. I am now repulsed by such ABCDs.
This is so much in contrast to hispanic orgs or Irish orgs or jewish orgs who care for their people.
yes, our community is divided. The main reason is, all these years, majority people used short cuts methods or got lucky or effortlessly immigrated and jumped to the other side. Things were not so tough for them as compared to us and we are competitive. They hate us for being competitive so they influence the law makers and the results is obvious EB green card is 10% and FB system is bringing in 60%. They take advantage of the the H1b system to live on us and influence the policies making it tougher.
We are better off not seeking their help, but if people think otherwise, go for it. A lot of these organizations are formed for convinience and self interest and they really do not have any interest in the community as a whole.
Take example of ATA and TANA. ATA is called American telugu Association and TANA is called Telugu association of North America. They say ATA is for Reddys and TANA is for Khammas.
Look at the Gujjus. They are strongly bound their community only. Look at all the Tamil sangams, Kannada Sangams, ......

While it is good idea to move to UK there are similar protests going in UK due to job loss and lot of Work Permits going in favor of Indians. Recently I read an article which says that 18,000 Visas out of 30,000 Visa(High Tech) are granted to Indians.
UK based companies pulled out their operations from India stating the quality of work from Indian operations is very poor.
Adding fuel to fire Mr Mittal relentless aggression to acquire companies is all creating chaos in UK.

Please don't give wrong information so authoritatively :)
Labor Certification(LC) for Green Card processing has nothing to with Labor Condition Agreement(LCA) attached to H1-B.
If you moved to a different state from intended work place when your employer filed H1-B (extension included), your company need to get a new LCA.
Do not confuse between (Permanent) Labor Certification from Labor Condition Agreement, simply because of the abbreviations(LC vs LCA).
Disclaimer: I'm NOT an immigration specialist. This can not be taken as an immigration advice.

Hi,
Recently I transfered my H1 B from X company to Y company & now I am going for my visa renewal. My previous employer is not providing me the experience letter. Though I am having all my paystubs, appointment letter etc. I think I need the experience letter also...So what should I do now. Please suggest me.

Experience letter is always useful for H1B and Green Card purposes. Try to take an affidavit from your supervisor(ideal) or colleague listing the duration and technologies involved.

to tell you the truth, DO NOT make silly statements at all. like someone said in this forum, we ARE professionals and dignified individuals with a wide array of qualifications by virtue of which WE are doing jobs in this country. some of us are here working for more than 8 years, some others may be 3 years, some others may have just begun.
Don't waste your time.if this country wants to loose wizards like who created hotmail or google, please let your lawmakers know that. and let me know the response you get.
I hope you all boycot the work and do a rally. That will help those Americans replaced by you, to finally get their job back. Or even better that will help the millions of tech workers in India, who wants to get your job, a chance. So go for it.

My friend got into this situation.
He had EB2 Labor approved with PD 08/2005 and I140 approved.. He is in final six months of his H1.
Now, interestingly his EB3 labor from Previous employer was just approved. However, he is no more working with them. But could convince them to file I140 for the apprvoed EB3 (which is PD 09/2003). and would like to Port the PD to his current EB2 with his present employer.
Did any oone of you experienced this and if so, can you please share your experience..
What are the Dos and Donts for this case.. Appreciate your replies.
